APC lacks competent hands to govern Nigeria – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun State has said that Nigeria was plunged into the current economic crisis because the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, lacked competent hands to govern the country.
Speaking with The4 Point in Osogbo, the state PDP chairman, Hon. Soji Adagunodo, said the APC had only succeeded in inflicting untold hardship on the masses.
Adagunodo alleged that the country’s resources had been frittered away through unrealistic economic policies since the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration as sumed office.
This, he said, obviously indicated that the APC and President Buhari lacked the competence and wherewithal to manage the nation’s economy.
The Osun PDP chairman alleged that Buhari and the other APC state governors had impoverished the average Nigerian citizen, claiming that, “They (Buhari and APC governors) are working against the interest of God, who gave them the privilege to govern the Nigerian state.”
Speaking specifically on the state of affairs in Osun, Adagunodo said that Governor Rauf Aregbesola had been running an “unfriendly administration” since he assumed power in 2010.
According to him, “Aregbesola’s administration is not beneficial and has been unfriendly to the common people in Osun. People are really suffering in this state and this started since APC took over power from us (PDP).”
He maintained that Aregbesola and APC had failed the people of the state, lamenting that Osun people were undergoing serious pain, which called for God’s intervention.
Decrying the parlous state of the Nigerian economy, Adagunodo said that the APC-led governments at the Federal and state levels had demonstrated high sense of incompetence to govern and manage the country’s resources.
Adagunodo, however, expressed the readiness of the opposition party to unseat the APC, both at the federal and state levels. He assured that the PDP, if returned to power, would restructure the nation’s ailing economy.
“I want people to know that it is God that puts people in power; either you are a king or you are the head of government. But in a situation whereby your emergence does not benefit the people, who voted for you, that means you are working against God’s interest.
“I believe that APC government is working against the interest of God and God is not happy with them, and I am very sure God will change them for us (PDP),” he said.
