Former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, has met with former military president, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (rtd).
It was gathered that the secret meeting between Atiku and IBB was held at the former military ruler’s Hilltop mansion in Minna, the Niger State capital on Tuesday, February 14.
While the details of the meeting between both parties have not been disclosed, some political watchers have said that it may not be unconnected with the rumoured 2019 presidential ambition of the former vice president.
Rumours have been rife that Abubakar, who served as vice president under the President Olusegun Obasanjo administration, has plans to contest in the 2019 presidential election.
