Though what has gone wrong is uncertain, it seems there is a serious beef between two Nigerian comedians, AY and Basketmouth. For some years now, the two humour merchants hardly do things together or headline the same show.
Last month, AY and his siblings held a remembrance celebration for their parents. While all the major players in the comedy industry were in Delta State, Warri precisely, to show AY love, Basketmouth was missing, as usual. He did not even wish him well like some others, who couldn’t make it, did on their social media pages.
When Basketmouth was asked why he does not always attend AY’s concert, he said, “I don’t go where I am not invited.” Even though he was at Eko Hotels, during one of the editions of AY Live, he didn’t get near the hall.
The two, in different interviews, had said they had no issues with each other, but their actions speak otherwise.
