‘Bendel insurance must get it right this season’

Chairman, Supporters’ Club of the Bendel Insurance FC of Benin, Chief Osadolor Ogiefa, has stated that all must be done to ensure that the outfit regain its lost glory.
However, he stressed that for this to be achieved, the generality of the club’s stakeholders must be united.
He appealed for unity among all and sundry so that the once darling team of the old Bendel State would bounce back to its glorious days.
According to the supporters’ club boss, “we feel it’s high time we all come together to sort out our differences for the sake of the club, so that it can return to its glorious past, when it ruled the football scene.
“We are appealing to all and sundry, who had one relationship or the other with the Bendel Insurance FC-coaches, players, administrators, supporters, etc.-to come for a reconciliation meeting slated for the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Saturday, December 9.
“All issues that have been affecting the team leading to its poor performance in recent years would be trashed out at the meeting.
“Anybody who has, one way or the other, been offended should come so that the issues can be resolved and we can move forward. We should learn to forgive and forget.
“For almost nine years now, the team has been in the lower league, which does not speak well.
“Bendel Insurance is the pride of the old Bendel State (Edo and Delta States). We are desirous of ensuring that the club regain its lost glory and return to the national premiership league where it used to be and it rightly belongs.”
