Benue state Governor, Dr Samuel Ortom has appointed Prof.Tony
Ijoho,SAN, as the Secretary to the State Government.
Prof. Ijoho, who until this appointment was the Dean,Faculty of Law at the Benue
State University, replaces the substantive SSG, Barr. Targema Takema
who had been sick since August last year.
Governor Ortom who announced this on Tuesday at the State Executive
Council meeting held at the Benue Peoples House, said the Acting
SSG, Dr Bem Meladu would revert to his position as Special Adviser.
Dr Meladu was Special Adviser on Special Duties until his elevation as
Acting SSG when Takema became sickOrtom also announced the termination of the appointments of the Commissioners for Information and Orientation, Chief Odeh Ageh; Women Affairs and Social Development, Barr.Mwuese Mnyim; Water Resources and Environment, Engr. Nick Wende, and Arts, Culture and Tourism, Sekav Iortyom.
In the same vein, the Special Adviser on Small, Medium Enterprises
and Micro Financing, Dr Augustine Idogah was also relieved of his appointment.
