I killed my husband because I got fed up with him, wife confesses

The police in Osun have arrested a mother of three, Omotayo Salawudeen, for allegedly killing her husband, Alhaji Hakeem Salawudeen, after a sexual intercourse with him.
Speaking with journalists at the police headquarters in Osogbo, 39-year-old Omotayo, while being paraded alongside other suspects, confessed that she killed her husband because she got “tired” of him.
The housewife further revealed that she suffocated her husband with a pillow after making love with him while a 24- year-old man, Oladapo Dolapo, who she had earlier contracted to assist in killing her husband, stabbed Alhaji Salawudeen with knife.

The suspect, who said she got married to the deceased 17 years ago, said that she had no particular reason for taking the decision to eliminate him inspite of the fact that the 43-year-old Salawudeen had been a caring husband and father to her three children.
She maintained that her husband was a good man, who always took care of her needs and that of her children, stressing that, “He (deceased) did not offend me, I just got tired of him.
“We have been married for 17 years and we are blessed with three children aged 17, 15 and 12. He ( late Salawudeen) did not not offend me, I was just mad at him.
“I choked him with pillow, after having sex and Dolapo stabbed him to death with knife. I regret my action. I didn’t know it would result to this,” she said.
Omotayo, who did not look remorseful, noted that it was just her desire to kill her husband, adding, “I hired Dolapo to help me kill him in the middle of the night.”
Corroborating Omotayo’s shocking confession, Dolapo confessed that he actually stabbed the late Salawudeen while she forced a pillow on the deceased’s face till he was no longer breathing.
He said Salawudeen’s wife contracted him to kill her husband with a promise that she would provide him an accommodation and also give him some cash once the act was successful.
Parading the suspect, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olafimihan Adeoye, disclosed that one Engr. Salawudeen Adesina Jimoh of 3, Engr. Adesina Salawu street, Osogbo, came to the station on May 12, 2017 and reported that on the same day at 3:00am, two unknown men entered into his brother’s (deceased’s) house located at 11, Adeniran Street, Alleluyah Estate, Osogbo, and stabbed him  to death without stealing anything.
Adeoye further explained that,  “A team of police detectives and patrol men went to the scene, where two inscriptions, “No Price, No Pay,  Aye Axe” and “Forgiveness is a sin” were found on the wall of the deceased’s house “
The commissioner of police stated that some detectives had arrested Dolapo before he confessed that the deceased’s wife was responsible for the murder.
Adeoye said investigation by the police revealed that Omotayo did not only hire Dolapo but actively participated in killing her late husband, Salawudeen.
He, therefore, warned members of the public to be wary of marital or domestic dispute by promptly reporting to the police for necessary action.
The police boss promised that the matter would be charged to court as soon as investigation was completed.
