Iheanacho celebrates Man City’s triumph in Champions League

Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, has expressed his excitement after Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City edged five-time Champions League winners, FC Barcelona on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old Nigerian, an unused substitute in City’s 3-1 win over Barca at the Etihad Stadium has stated how delighted he feels to be part of the team after caging the Spanish giants.
A brace from Ilkay Gundogan and a perfectly curved free-kick by Kevin de Bruyne cancelled Lionel Messi’s opener, to hand Pep Guardiola’s side a comeback after suffering a 4-0 defeat in the first leg at the Camp Nou.
Iheanacho who has only managed two appearances in the Champions League this season, opened his UCL goalscoring account in City’s 4-0 triumph over Borussia Mönchengladbach in September.
The wonderkid praised the team’s performance after grabbing the important win that keeps them two points away from the top spot.
“Great team performance happy to be among this great squad #cmoncity,” Iheanacho posted on Instagram.
Barca remain top of Group C on nine points, two ahead of City, and a win in one of their remaining games against Celtic or Borussia Moenchengladbach would see them qualify for the last 16, while four points will ensure they win the group.
