Oyin Asu-Johnson, known as DJ Yin, is about to make another mark on the music industry.
DJ Yin, a one-time understudy of DJ Jimmy Jatt, has done quite well behind the scene, playing at notable underground events across Nigeria, including Grill At The Pent and Mente De Moda.
DJ Yin is now set to live her dream of becoming a recording artiste with the release of her Electronic Dance Music styled tune, titled, “What You Started.”
The song is roduced by Bankyondbeatz, who she collaborated with on ‘Heart Desire.’
She also teamed up with Tay Iwar on Ozzy B’s recent single, ‘Beat It Up,’ where she gave listeners a feel of her sound and eclectic. DJ Yin has been a professional disc jockey for four years.
Influenced by her DJ father while growing up, she said she be- c a m e interested in the art and decided to walk down that path. But she admitted that singing had always been her first love and she had continuously desired to become a recording artiste someday.
