The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra has described the report that the Director of Radio Biafra and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has apologised to President Muhammadu Buhari, as a blackmail designed to weaken the resolve of the freedom fighter.

The pro-Biafran group, which insisted that the claims were false, alleged that the current development was a sinister move to silence Kanu and disrupt the genuine agitations for the actualisation of the State of Biafra.

In a statement, the new leader of MASSOB, Comrade Uchenna Madu, maintained that the report that Nnamdi Kanu had apologised to Buhari over Biafra “is absolute falsehood.”

He said, “It is a calculated and systematic attempt by agents of the Federal Government, using some ethnically prejudiced newspaper houses to attempt to discredit, disorganise and frustrate the Biafran agitation, which has gained international mileage and sympathy following the unlawful arrest and detention of Kanu.

“This latest move and orchestrated campaign of calumny against Kanu by enemies and oppressors of Biafrans is a panic sign following the global acceptance of Biafra,” Madu declared.
