Kekemeke is a loyal APC leader

read with interest, your news report September 18, 2017 titled, “Ondo APC crisis: Party chairman protests sack, heads for court.” Much as the story is factual enough in telling the whole world that there is a legal action against the funny removal of Mr. Isaac Kekemeke as the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, I would also like to make this all-important clarification.

Kekemeke, though aggrieved as a person, is a dedicated party leader and member. As contained in the body of your story, it was two party members, namely Messrs Gboyega Adedipe and Desmond Dejuola, who, as Ondo APC members, went to court; not really on Kekemeke’s behalf but on behalf of themselves, to fight the cause of the ousted chairman.

As a lawyer and party leader, Kekemeke would not go to court until he has explored all the conflict-resolution mechanisms within the party, hoping that he will get justice at the end of the day. Going to court right now, for him, would have been like going against the party rules. So, as a member of the APC in Ondo State, I know Kekemeke respects our party’s rules.

Nevertheless, you did a good job with the report.
