‘Love not for the lazy’ Adesua Etomi

For glamorous Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi, love affairs should not be for unserious elements but serious minded personalities. This is because, according to her, love is always very expensive for lazy people to manage.
Adesua, who made her big screen acting debut in April 14, 2014, also noted that kissing on set should not be a big deal that should freak an actor or actress in any film industry. Recounting her role with OC Ukeje in one of her movies, The Arbitration, Etomi said, “I am a blank canvass in that movie and at the end of the day, what is most imperative to me is the story.
That kiss was important in the story because it is part of the dealings in ‘The Arbitration.’ As long as you keep in mind that it is always about the story, it is never about me. I am a human being but I am also a trained actress, I have been doing this since 2004. I was not moved when I kissed OC Ukeje because kissing in a movie is not the same as kissing in real life.”
Adesua’s foray into theatre began in 2004 with ‘The Crucible,’ while she studied for Diplomas in Performing Arts, Musical and Physical Theatre at The City College in Coventry, United Kingdom.
In 2008 and 2009, she would star in three plays for the Arena Theatre, while studying for a Bachelors’ in Drama and Performance at The University of Wolverhampton. Upon completion of her studies in 2009, she bagged a First Class Honours’ degree and a Foursight Theatre Award for the Best Performance in A Devised Piece Of Work.
The beautiful damsel was born in Owerri, South-eastern Nigeria to a soldier father and civil engineer mother. The youngest of three children, she quickly learned to express herself through performance.
