The Ogun State chapter of the Police Community Relations Committee has said that it is planning for safe water ways in riverine communities across the state in order to stop the attacks by militants through the creeks.
The state Chairman of PCRC, Alhaji Ibrahim Olaniyan, stated this at the Police Officers’ Mess in Abeokuta during his first year anniversary celebrations as the chairman of the association.
Olaniyan said that the PCRC was planning to meet with residents of the riverine communities for the security of the water ways.
He urged the residents of the areas to work together with the police by giving them useful information about crime and criminality in the areas.
