My husband beats me anytime his team loses a match, woman tells court

An Agege Customary Court has dissolved the marriage between a 32-year-old man, Mr. Toyin adisa and his wife, Adijat, following incessant fight between the couple whenever the husband’s favourite football team lost any match in the European Premier League.
Adijat, the embittered wife of the football enthusiast, had prayed the court to urgently separate her and her husband to save her from being blinded by blows she received from the football enthusiast anytime his team was beaten.
Though Adisa showed signs of remorse when the matter came up in the court penultimate week, promising that he would not watch football matches again so as to avoid further ugly situation, his wife’s mind seemed to have been made up on the divorce.
According to her, “I have been given a black eye twice because his team lost in a football match. The blows were like a thunderbolt. It took months for the pains to go. All that I want now is divorce because, my husband is like a Leopard that can never change its spots.”
“Kindly separate us now. My husband has a terrible habit.”
The matter was adjourned for possible reconciliation.
