My style reflects my way of life – Nollywood actress, Grace Amah

Fashion, for Nollywood actress, Grace Amah, is all about being in a positive mood. The delectable Ebonyi State native reveals that her style is simple and classy. But she says it all depends on how she’s feeling at the moment.

“Fashion, for me, literally means a way of doing things. It could be attitude, what is in vogue or style. For me, fashion only makes meaning to me where what I do or wear appeals positively to another person. If I say that I like your fashion, it may imply that I like your way of dressing, way of speaking, way of responding to people or manner of reaching out to others,” she says.

Grace further says that fashion simply means good appearance, good communication with others in words and action, good style and appreciable attitude to the public.

“As a public person, the moment people no longer respect what I do, it means I am out of fashion. Fashion may mean many things to many people, including those who appear nude in the press and social media; all are said to be fashion or things in vogue.

“But in reality, fashion ought to be things that reflect more positively of my attitude or way of life, style, which includes dressing and way of relating with others,” she says.

The Creative Arts graduate appeared in her first movie in 1999, “Chain Reaction,” and since then, she has gone on to establish herself as a popular face in movies and on TV.

As regards her style and attire, Grace remarks, “Though I am not addicted to any particular fabric, whether native or western, I have always had more of native attire in different styles.

In fact, at a time when many countries of the world are showcasing their uniqueness in cultural content, which includes way of dressing, it is only necessary we promote what we have, part of which is our “Ankara” and others. So, I use more of native than western dresses.”
