Following the victory of the All Progressives Alliance’s governorship candidate in the Ondo state gubernatorial election, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, the Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, has congratulated the governor-elect.
The felicitation message is in a statement issued today by the Speaker`s Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Mr. Turaki Hassan. Dogara maintained that the victory of the APC in the election was a proof that the party was loved by Nigerians.
Akeredolu, according to the result announced by the Chief Returning Officer, Prof. A. Ambali, won the election with 244,842 votes to defeat his closest rival, Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party, who polled 150,380 votes.
