Osun police arrest two suspected ritualists for turning kids to pigeons

Men of the Osun State Police Command on Tuesday evening apprehended two suspected ritualists in Osogbo for allegedly hypnotising and mysteriously turning three kids to pigeons.
Our correspondent gathered that the suspects, whose identities were not known as at the time of filing this report, had been roaming suspiciously around the old Governor’s Office and along Gbongan/Ibadan road in Osogbo in the last two weeks.
The incident, according to eye witnesses account, was said to have occurred when  one of the suspects placed charms on the victims before they were turned to three pigeons.
Residents of the area and commercial motorcycle riders attempted to lynch the suspects but for the prompt intervention of men and officers of Oja Oba Police Division.
The suspects were said to be feigning mental illness after they were nabbed by the mob.
The Divisional Police Officer of Ataoja Police Division declined to comment on the matter, claiming that the allegation had not been proven satisfactorily.
The suspects were sighted while making a statement at the station, but were not allowed by the police to address the pressmen.
As at the time of filing this report, the suspects were still in police custody.
