An Ile-Ife Customary Court in Osun State has dissolved a 10-year-old marriage between Mr. Olusola Onifade and Simbiatu Onifade after the former discovered that their 63-year-old pastor, Femi Olayinka, had impregnated his wife.
Onifade, who sells wooden planks in the community, had approached the court to dissolve the marriage, lamenting that he never knew that their pastor had been having an illicit affair with Simbiatu to the extent of putting her in the family way.
According to him, when he confronted Pastor Olayinka of the Christ Miracle Church, Orisun-Iye, Power Line, Ajebamidele, Ile-Ife, on the issue, he (the pastor) boastfully admitted the act, threatening to kill him should he (husband) ‘drag’ Simbiatu with him.
“My wife and I have been attending his church for a very long time now, not knowing that they (pastor and Simbiatu) are dating each other,” Onifade informed the court.
