Patoranking slams Mr. Eazi … says he wants to rewrite history

Since Mr. Eazi made claims that Ghana’s influence on present day Nigerian sound could not be denied, he has been receiving heavy knocks. Wazi also claimed to have started the fusion of Ghanaian and Nigerian sounds.
While speaking on a programme on Cool FM recently, Patoranking disclosed that there had been cultural exchanges between Nigeria and Ghana for a long time.
He said, “Many Nigerian artistes had worked with Ghanaian artistes in the past. 2face and Faze did it. Musical cultural exchange has been going on between Nigeria and Ghana even before I finished secondary school. Saying he started the whole Ghanaian-Nigerian music is wrong. He didn’t do my song, ‘My Woman.’ ‘My Woman’ is a global hit, it is the biggest afrobeat song in the Caribbean right now.”
“Being one of the judges in the ongoing ‘The Voice’ reality show, the singer admitted that the coaches were also part of the game and people had failed to understand that.
“People forget that we get emotionally attached to people because we spend time with them every day. And suddenly, we have to decide that somebody must go while others stay. It is crazy, when you look at the bond and chemistry you’ve created with the contestants,” he said.
