Pele to arrive Nigeria

Wold famous Brazil football icon, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, famously known as Pele, is expected in Nigeria on Wednesday, September 22.
The Brazilian football legend was initially scheduled to be in Nigeria on August 11 and 12 but that had to postpone the trip due to ill health. Pelé will be visiting Lagos for the YEDA Legend edition 2016 organised by Winihin Jemide Series (WJS) and Youth Experience Days Africa (YEDA). The three day event is focused on the development of the Nigerian youth and will bring together football loving teenagers, parents and key figures within Lagos State Government, corporate and football regulatory bodies.
Children from the football clinic will be part of the teams to partake in the Legend Cup tournament and photo sessions with Pelé. The exclusive dinner with Pelé will take place on the 24th September at the Skylounge, Eko Hotels and suites Victoria Island Lagos.
The visit is part of a three-day programme that will focus on the development of football and the Nigerian youth. Pele first visited Nigeria in 1967 during a two-day ceasefire during the Nigerian Civil War .
Pele led Brazil to World Cup glory in 1958, 1962 and 1970 and scored 1,280 goals in a
successful professional career.
