PLASU’s accreditation to boost population next session

Plateau State University, Jos has received full accreditation for 17 courses from the National Universities Commission.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Doknan Sheni, said, before now, the university usually admitted 300 to 400 students, but could now admit 1,000 to 3,000 students.

“The institution needed the accreditation to operate as a fullfledged university and is confident that with the accreditation, it will admit more than 1,000 students in the 2016/2017 academic year,” he noted.
