Police arrest two suspects for duping man N5m

The police operatives attached to the Zonal Intervention Squad of the Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos, have arrested two suspected fraudsters in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, for allegedly duping a man of the sum of N5,000,000.
The suspects, Ahmed Fatai Seun and Joseph Olufemi Adaramola, were picked up last Thursday in Ijebu Igbo and found in possession of a live snake and some fetish items used for their dirty and criminal deals.
The Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said one of the fraudsters’ victims (named withheld ) was tricked into the “game” after he bought local concoction (Agbo) in Ikeja, Lagos State, from one man, who was later known to be the principal suspect, Ahmed Fatai.
Adejobi, a superintendent of police, said, “The victim was put on telephone with one man, who asked him to meet one baba in Ijebu Igbo for special prayers for prosperity, which he(complainant )did.
“The said baba arranged the prayers and billed him seventy five million naira only(#75,000,000) for the special prayer, but he had paid #5,000,000 before he gained his consciousness and reported to the police.
“Police operatives swung into action and arrested the suspects in Ijebu igbo area of Ogun State. It was then discovered that the said baba he met in Ijebu Igbo is the same Ahmed Fatai, who sold Agbo(concoction) in ikeja to him. He (Ahmed) is always dressed like an elderly man to dupe Nigerians.
“The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of zone 2 Command Lagos, AIG Abdulmajid Ali,has directed that the suspects be charged to court without delay. He has, however, advised Nigerians to be mindful and beware of those individuals, who do not have known or legitimate means of livelihood as they could be dangerous.”
