Raheem paints Turkish league with goals

…To face Konyaspor today

Nigeria’s Raheem Lawal is at his peak in Turkey and may re-enact his scoring form against Konyaspor Football Club today in the Turkish league.

The promising star has been making good impression of himself with Kayserispor winning its difficult matches in the Turkish Liga. Lawal was on target twice for Kayserispor as they defeated Trabzonspor 3-2 away in Saturday’s Turkish topflight outing played inside Senol Gunes Akyazi Stadium.

The Nigerian is gradually playing himself into the heart of Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr for a possible call-up for the qualification matches for the FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Most of the Nigerian players abroad believe that they could only get Rohr’s attention through their outstanding performances in Europe and Lawal is not sitting pretty in his quest to play for Nigeria.

“We will always try our best and play our hearts out. It is every player’s ambition to play for his country at the World Cup. It is contest for the best players across the world and I don’t want to be an exception,” he said.
