Robbers introduce new tricks at rail lines

Men of the underworld have now introduced a new way of dispossessing innocent people of their hard-earned valuables, at the popular Agege rail-lines, especially at night. The trend, which is fast gaining ground, has forced the Federal Police, manning the railway, to put up an enhanced surveillance of the entire area.

In the past three weeks, no fewer than 10 persons have been made victims of unprovoked attacks by the youth who live in make-shift shacks built beside the now unofficially blocked pedestrian bridge. The stone-eyed youth, according to our findings, revel in hard drugs, gambling and Sodomy.

A victim of the unwarranted attack, Mr Tayo Bolanle, a native of Irun-Akoko, Ondo State, told The Point that he was dispossessed of his valuables by the dog-carrying youth, who unleashed the wild animal on him.

“I was just arriving Lagos at about 11.06pm. My destination was Majaro Street. I was taking a short cut, taking the rail lines, when all of a sudden, the dogs started chasing me. I had to abandon my bag, which was soon picked by some boys who disappeared into the thin air. The funniest thing is that, as soon as my bag was picked, the dogs stopped barking,” he said.
