Ronaldo may join Messi in jail for tax fraud

Less than twenty hours after Barcelona fans started to worry about Leo Messi going to jail for tax fraud, focus has been shifted onto Real Madrid and their superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo.
The breaking news from Spanish radio station Cadena Ser is that Ronaldo is suspected of defrauding the Spanish taxman to the tune of eight million euros.
The tax deficit relates to alleged unpaid bills Ronaldo owes due to his image rights from 2011 to 2014.
For what it’s worth, that seems hugely unlikely, as there is plenty of disagreement right now about how the handle the Real Madrid star’s problems. As reported by AS:
The tax inspectors involved in drawing up the report were not in agreement on whether criminal proceedings should be started against the player (indicating suspected tax fraud) or whether a simple administrative procedure would be appropriate.
