Rotary Club pledges to combat ecological disasters

The Governor of Rotary Club International, District 9110, Adewale Ogunbadejo, has urged Nigerians to pay more attention to planet Earth to avert disasters now ravaging different parts of the world.
The rotary governor, at a tree planting programme in Magodo phase 2 estates, organised by the club’s chapter in Magodo GRA phase 2, Lagos, said Nigerians needed to pay more attention to the activities that will help to prevent and avert disasters within their immediate environment.
He identified tree planting as one of the ways towards ensuring that planet Earth is given a good treatment to ensuring its well-being.
Ogunbadejo said, “If we are talking about humanity we need take planet earth itself important? If it goes under, we all go under. There is need for us take important environmental visibility and survival of the planet earth. And just as a symbolic gesture, all Rotarians around the world have been asked to plant at least one three between now and April 22, 2018, which is World Heath Day.”
