Some public school teachers are cultists, says Gov Amosun

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has accused some teachers in the state public primary and secondary schools of membership of cult groups.
Amosun made this allegation  at the Ogun State Education Summit  2017 held at the June 12 cultural Center,  Abeokuta the state capital, on Monday.
The governor lamented that the teachers, who were supposed to caution the pupils or students against any involvement in cultism, were also involved in the illegal activities.
He said, “Even our teachers are members of cult groups.”
Amosun also lamented that there were ghost teachers in the state’s education sector, who had been collecting salaries for the work they did not do.
“Even the one they collect, do they work for it? Our teachers are not in school. The quality must be there, you must earn your income,” he said.
The governor, therefore, urged parents to keep watch over their wards and be mindful of any marks on their bodies, which he said might be those made on them during initiation into cult groups.
