No fewer than three persons have been killed in a renewed cult violence in different parts of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

Our correspondent gathered that suspected cultists struck at Edun/Opo-malu Junction area of the metropolis around noon last Thursday, killing a man in his mid-20s, simply identified as Dauda.

The renewed violence and killing cause panic among residents of Ilorin, who were shocked by the manner in which the barbaric act was perpetrated, as shop owners hurriedly closed their stores.

While rumours were rife about the killing of two students of the Kwara Polytechnic students, our correspondent could not ascertain the veracity of the rumour.

However, the kwara State Police Command and the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency have announced the arrest of no fewer than 10 suspects in connection with the renewed cult clashes.
