We’re set to beat Brazil – Amuneke

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets will hold their own against Brazil in Sunday’s quarterfinal showdown at the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile says head coach of the side, Emmanuel Amuneke.

The Eaglets who are the reigning FIFA U-17 World Cup champions hammered their Australian foes 6-0 in the round of 16 fixture on Wednesday to equal the joint-biggest win in the history of the U-17 World Cup knockout stages, same with Japan’s 6-0 win against their antipodean neighbours, New Zealand in 2011, which was also a Round of 16 clash.

The Brazilians on their part, overcame New Zealand 1-0 in their Round of 16 clash to set up an interesting quarterfinal pairing between two of the most successful nations in the U-17 World Cup history.
