With no parents, Kadiious takes to music as final resort

After losing his parents in 2013, Kareem Afeez Abiodun, aka Kadicious, has turned to music as his only hope of making impact in the society.

For him, though he ventured into music professionally in 2014, the passion for music has been there since childhood. He does Disc Jockey and repairs computers as well.

He told our correspondent that but for money and lack of support, he would have ventured into music many years ago. With three siblings, he admitted that living without their parents had not been easy. He said, “You would agree with me that doing music is quite expensive, especially when you have little or no support. When I wrote UTME in 2013 and I didn’t gain admission, I just thought I should concentrate on music and see how far I could go. I still hope to further my education in the near future, but all I do at present is music.

He sees Vector as his role model and aspires to be like him someday.

He stated, “When I finished secondary school, I saw his interview with Labi where he spoke about himself and music. I really hope we can do something together in the near future. I have only had the chance of seeing him once but from a distance.”

Though music and DJing are in the same line, he insisted that not all artistes could mix and not all DJs could sing.

“But once you love music and know music, it is easy for you to be a good DJ. I am still a DJ; I have never left it and I would never leave it even when I get to be a household name in the music industry.”
