It is no longer news that Yoruba actors are not well paid in the movie industry. This poor fee, in a way, explains the reason some of the actors are subjected to poor living condition.
The biggest amount most of the actors get, according to an insider, is N150, 000. Some established names even get as low as N20, 000 and they play the role with passion.
But there are indications that Toyin Abraham’s fee has gone up in recent times. The actress, who has been in the middle of many controversies, now seems to be one of the highest paid Yoruba actor. Funke Akindele too is highly priced.
The source said Abraham now charges N700, 000 but people still come to beg her with N400, 000.
