The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has lamented that some serving and former governors are working at cross purposes to tear the party apart.

Adamu made the disclosure in his address at the 11th National Executive Committee meeting of the APC at the Transcorp Hotel in Abuja.

In attendance at the meeting were President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, House Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila; and other critical stakeholders and members of the NEC.

Stating that governors are leaders of the party in their various states, Adamu said that the APC constitution made no provision for dual leadership in the states.

The party chairman, however, said that former governors are leaders in their own rights.

He, therefore, urged serving governors to accord them due respect in the interest of the party.
