Adeparusi, missing photojournalist dies in ‘okada’ accident

Award winning photojournalist, earlier declared missing in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, Adeyinka Adeparusi, has allegedly been confirmed dead.
Yinka had been missing for two days before his body was found in a morgue in the FCT.
According to a police source in Abuja, Yinka was said to have been involved in a motorcycle accident somewhere in Abuja and died on the spot.
The journalist was said to have been recognised through his ATM card that was in his possession as at the time of the accident.
Adeparusi was said to have left home on Sunday, with a brief ‘I’ll be back’, but never returned.
The award winning photojournalist graduated from Lagos State University School of Communication, with double honours in Photojournalism and Cinematography and minor in Mass Communication.
Described by colleagues as a “a soft-spoken, very professional and clear-headed individual,” he was also said to be kind, loving, creative and hardworking.
After he was declared missing, family, friends and colleagues started looking for him, as calls to his mobile phones were not going through.
Prior to his death, Adeparusi was a staff of a Nigerian online portal, Naij. May his soul rest in peace.
