Airtel unveils The Voice Africa with 14 African countries, $100,000 prize

14 African countries, Seychelles, Nigeria, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda, Madagascar, Gabon, Uganda, Niger, Chad, DRC, and Congo will be joining the maiden edition of Airtel’s pan African music competition, The Voice Africa.

Speaking at the press conference, Vice President, Emeka Opara said “As a true African entity, we have always believed in Africa, as we have always done, and today’s event signals the commencement of a very exciting initiative for both the contestants and the viewing and voting public. Airtel Africa has provided this platform for our youths to showcase their talents and be the best they can be.”

“We are intentional and deliberate to empower our youths and enable them to channel their energies and great talents positively for their individual growth, and for the good of their families, communities, and indeed Africa. We want to thank our customers and colleagues and all the other countries across Africa for taking part in this competition. The future of Africa is bright,” he said.
