AMORC warns Nigerian leaders against impending catastrophe

By Biola Adeleke

The Rosicrucian Order, otherwise called the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis, Western Zone, has said that unless urgent measures are taken, Nigeria may sink into an abyss of history as a failed state.

AMORC warned that if deliberate steps were not taken to address the spiraling social injustice in the country, the Nigerian state might be risking a collapse.

The Grand Councilor, Rosicrucian Order, Western Zone, Mr. Samuel Akinfe, in a keynote address at the 2019 Western Zonal Conclave, held at the Alcuin Temple, Adeyemo Layout, Molete, Ibadan, Oyo State, said no nation could thrive in an atmosphere of injustice.

Akinfe, who dwelt on the theme, “Spirituality for Social Justice,” said those in authority should respect the sanctity of human life.

He said government should make serious efforts at solving problems of social injustice, adding, “The present socio-economic challenges are alarming. They should be seriously addressed, not by mouthing them, but by appropriate governmental actions.

“Government should pay attention to international and global development indices, which are usually results of international studies, as a means of using them for socio-economic development, instead of condemning them because they do not please us.

“The Federal Government should fix the lingering problem in the power sector so as to generate sufficient energy for the industries in Nigeria, which operate below capacity. Small and medium scale industries can also have power to function.

The AMORC chieftain further said, “This will help to absorb millions of unemployed youths who take to crime as a result of lack of jobs. The present habit of some government officials gloating about producing 6,000 megawatts of power – whereas a town, Johannesburg alone, in South Africa, produces 4,000 megawatts – is myopic or deceptive and not acceptable.

“A society that allows the raped to be traumatised, while the rapist goes free and also that engenders the guilty to go free while the innocent is left traumatised, can fail. It can lead to systemic failure with sad consequences for the nation. It should be stopped so that Nigeria does not sink completely into the abyss of a completely failed state.”
