Former Governor of Ogun State and Senator representing Ogun Central, Ibikunle Amosun, has congratulated Nigeria High Commissioner to United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, on his 61st birthday and the presentation of his credentials to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Both events are taking place today, November 25, 2021.

Amosun, in a letter personally signed by him, said the fact that these two remarkable events are taking place on the same day “is not a mere coincidence, rather, it is a reflection of Isola’s true personality – one that attracts celebration and honours.”

“Even in the trajectory of your service to Ogun State and Nigeria, particularly as a Local Government Chairman, Secretary to the State Government and Federal Minister of Mines and Steel Development, it has been an eventful career laced with lots of achievements and celebrations,” Amosun said.

The former governor who is also the Chairman, Senate Committee on Capital Markets, noted the many remarkable innovations put in place by the High Commissioner within the short period of his assumption of office, stressing that some these innovations are geared towards restoring the credibility of the Nigeria Mission in the United Kingdom.

“Your positive impacts in the area of upholding our national interests and strengthening of bilateral relationship between Nigeria and the United Kingdom are also worthy of note,” the former Ogun State helmsman pointed out.

He prayed that Allah will grant Isola many more years, in good health, and also the wherewithal to continue to discharge his duties effectively and efficiently.

“Once again, happy 61st birthday and a glorious presentation of your credentials to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II,” Amosun concluded.
