Anambra church killing: Police claim arrest of suspects

Following the mass killing of worshippers that occurred on Sunday morning at St. Phillips Catholic Church, Ozubulu, Anambra, the state Police Command has announced the arrest of suspects believed to have been involved in the incident.
Spokesman of the command, Nkeiruka Nwode, while confirming the development, said the suspects were arrested on Monday morning.
The spokesperson, who is yet to release the identity of the suspects, maintained that, “this is a very sensitive investigation.
“As soon as it is concluded, we will let the public know. But as far as I’m concerned, it definitely has nothing to do with terrorists. It’s just a conflict between individuals.”
“No fewer than 35 worshippers were injured in the incident that had gunmen shooting worshippers at close range,” the police spokesperson said.
