Anambra: INEC declares election inconclusive, supplementary poll to hold Nov. 9

The governorship election in Anambra State has been declared as inconclusive.

Following this, the Returning Officer of the Anambra State governorship election, Prof. Florence Obi, said that a supplementary poll would hold in 362 polling units in Ihiala Local Government Area on November 9.

Obi stated that election did not take place in Ihiala because there were reports of insecurity in the area.

In line with the constitution, she said that election should take place in the remaining polling units for the election to be conclusive.

The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, leads with a total vote of 103, 946.

There was jubilation in Soludo’s house as APGA leads with over 99,000 votes.
