Angela Okorie’s assassination story generating ripples

  • ‘It must have been in a dream or on set’

Mixed reactions have trailed Angela Okorie’s claim that there was an assassination attempt on her life, with many movie lovers saying that the picture painted by the Nollywood actress and singer did not look real “except it was at a movie location.”

Okorie had said on Sunday that 10 bullets were removed from her “head,” after she had earlier revealed that an assassination attempt was made on her life.

She also claimed that an additional two were removed close to her eyes.

Okorie, who through her Instagram handle: realangelaokorie, had narrated that she was repeatedly shot at, did not, however, disclose where the incident took place.

“The assassins kept on shooting for 30 minutes, No help from anywhere, No human came for our rescue. Only God came for our rescue,” she had said.

“Whoever that wants me dead, will die my death In Jesus Name. Amen,” Okorie had written on her wall on Saturday night.

The video she uploaded on her Instagram page on Sunday appeared to be an x-ray of a skull.

A politician, Adeniyi Adeseun, who says he loves to see Okorie in movies, said, ” How can such a beautiful girl claim that 10 bullets were removed from her head, and another two from her face, and she is still talking on Instagram, when she is not Fadeyi Oloro in real life?

“The fact that the situation surrounding the attack was not also explained is suspect. I think she was just hinting of a movie she is about producing.”

A Lagos-based beautician, Aishat Ibrahim, said she would need more explanations on the assassination attempt to be sure it was real.

“It doesn’t sound real. 10 bullets from her head? Ha! If it truly happened, I need to know what she is not telling us,” she said.
