Former Commonwealth Secretary-General, Emeka Anyaoku, has dissociated himself from an advertorial designating him as Special Guest of Honour at Atiku Abubakar’s book presentation.
The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party is expected to begin his campaign for the 2023 presidential elections with the launch of three books on his leadership style, and contribution to democratic and constitutional growth in Nigeria.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 28, at Chida Hotels Events Centre in Abuja.
In a statement by Anyaoku on Tuesday, he explained that his permission was not sought to be present at the book presentation.
He added that he had, “accepted the unreserved apologies rendered to me by the organizers of the event” and reiterated his non partisanship.
