APC flagbearer rates Gov Okowa’s administration in Delta low

The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress in Delta State in the 2015 general elections, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, has described the two years of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration in the state as a period of “misrule.”
Emerhor, who spoke with our correspondent during the recent grand reception of the APC State Treasurer, Mr. Edewor Akpedafe, at Afisere town in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, warned that the APC in the state would upstage former governor James Onanefe Ibori, Okowa and other PDP members in the 2019 election to finally determine which party owned the state.
Akpedafe had earlier held a church thanksgiving service for escaping unhurt in a fatal motor accident that took several lives and left many injured, recently.
While addressing guests at the reception, Emerhor said he would have no time to do an assessment of Governor Okowa’s two years in office in the state, adding that it would be a waste of time since the evidence was on ground to show that the Okowa administration had failed the people.
“We will issue them quit notice from the government house in 2019. We all know that the evidence of their failure is everywhere for us to see. There is nothing to show that they have given Deltans what they promised them,” he said.
Emerhor stressed that the APC in Delta State was fully prepared to take over the state from the PDP in 2019 to rescue the people from bad leadership and misrule in the past 18 years.
Also speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chairman of the APC in the state, Olorogun Cyril Ogodo, reiterated that there was nothing to write home about “in the two years of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in office.
“People should go and look at the mushroom roads Governor Okowa constructed at Sapele. That would not stand the test of time. By the next six months, the road would have been washed off because that is not the local government he hails from. Okowa has succeeded in returning flood from Asaba to Sapele. It’s very unfortunate that there is nothing to write home about concerning Governor Okowa’s administration,” he said.
He advised the people of the state not to allow themselves to be deceived by the PDP administration.
