APC National Chairman, Adamu, Secretary, Omisore, reportedly resign

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Adamu, on Sunday reportedly announced his resignation as the leader of the ruling party.

It was reported that Adamu resigned his position on the orders of President Bola Tinubu.

Correspondingly, it was also reported that the National Secretary of the party, Iyiola Omisore, also tendered his resignation letter minutes after.

It would be recalled that Adamu, a former Governor of Nasarawa State, has been facing numerous battles since the party won the presidential election on February 25, 2023.

The National Working Committee meeting of the party was scheduled for July 18 by the embattled former Chairman in order to prepare for the July 19 Caucus and National Executive Committee sessions, respectively.
