Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has congratulated Senator Abdullahi Adamu, former deputy governor of the state, Senator Iyiola Christopher Omisore, on their emergence as the Chairman and the National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, respectively.
He also congratulated the newly elected officers saying he believes the former governor would bring his wealth of experience to bear in the administration and management of the party’s affairs.
Oyetola described Omisore’s emergence as a round peg in a round hole.
He expressed confidence in the ability of the Ife-born politician to deliver and contribute to the growth of the party through his new position.
According to the governor, Omisore will deploy his political sagacity, leadership qualities and experience which he acquired in public and private sectors, towards building a virile and healthy party at the centre.
A statement issued by Oyetola’s Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, on Sunday, quoted the governor as giving the congratulatory message after the announcement of the officers at the party’s convention in Abuja.
Also speaking, Omisore expressed gratitude to God, President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Oyetola, party’s leaders and co-contenders for their unflinching support and confidence reposed in him to serve the party. He promised never to disappoint them.
