The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni, has approved the appointment of the Governor of Gombe State, Alh. Inuwa Yahaya, as Chairman of the APC Primary Election Appeal Committee for the Anambra State Governorship Election.

The other members of the committee set for inauguration on Wednesday, June 30 at the Buhari House, Abuja are Senator Julius Ucha, Hajia Maryam Salifu, Alh. Bukar Dalori and Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu who will serve as the secretary.

A statement signed by the National Secretary, CECPC, Sen John Akpanudodehe, read, “The five-member committee is expected to hear all appeals arising from the conduct of the primary election in line with the provisions of our party’s constitution and guidelines for the nomination of candidates.”

The Anambra APC governorship primary election has been controversial with 11 out of the 14 that contested claiming that there was no election.

Senator Andy Ubah was declared the winner of the primary election which the party’s former national officer, Dr George Moghalu, and 10 others regarded as a charade.
