APC stalwart, Kemi Nelson, dies at 66

A former Women Leader of the Lagos State and South West chapters of the All Progressives Congress, Kemi Nelson is dead.

She was also a member of the Governance Advisory Council in Lagos State.

The former Executive Director of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, died on Sunday, 17 July, 2022 after a protracted battle with cancer.

She was said to have been unwell for a while and had undergone treatments at different hospitals.

Nelson was a former Commissioner for Women’s Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in Lagos under Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.

She was born on February 9, 1956.

The deceased politician is survived by her three children.
