Arsenal demand N36.6b for Balogun

Arsenal have reportedly set an asking price for cap-tied United States international of Nigerian descent Folarin Balogun.

According to reports, Gunners have slapped a 35 million pounds (equated to N36.6 in Nigerian currency) price tag on the Hale End Academy graduate.

Balogun is back at Arsenal after a successful loan spell last season at Reims, for whom he scored 21 goals in 37 appearances in the French iLigue 1.

His performances for Reims have made him a coveted player in the summer transfer window, with Crystal Palace, RB Leipzig, Inter Milan and AC Milan among his suitors.

Balogun is unlikely to stay at Arsenal next season as he is behind Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah and Leandro Trossard in manager Mikel Arteta’s pecking order of strikers.

And he might further fall down the pecking order of offensive players with Arsenal on the verge of completing a move for Kai Havertz who is leaving Chelsea for a fee of £65m.

The Germany international is set to undergo a medical next week ahead of his unveiling.
