Granit Xhaka received a warm welcome at Arsenal as the Gunners took their latest signing on a guided tour of the Emirates Stadium.
A little under 48 hours after Xhaka and his Switzerland team-mates were eliminated from Euro 2016 by Poland, the former Borussia Monchengladbach man arrived in London to start planning for life in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old appeared to have dealt with the disappointment of the penalty shootout defeat to Poland and seemed in good spirits during the stroll around the ground, accompanied by an entourage of club officials and associates.
Xhaka was formally unveiled as a Gunner on May 25, for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £30million, and will join up with his new team-mates for pre-season training.
The holding midfielder was shown around the innermost corridors of his new home, posed with his No 29 shirt in the dressing room and visited manager Arsene Wenger’s office.
The orientation continued with a walk around the hospitality section of the stadium, including the directors’ box, before Xhaka took to the stands.
