Avocado helps treat arthritis

Avocado is a native tree in Central America and Mexico; and it is classified in the flowering plant family known as Lauraceae. The fruit is also known as Persea Americana in the scientific circles.
There are various types of avocado that are different in colour, shape and size. It is rich in mono-unsaturated fats (oils that contain mono-unsaturated fats are typically liquid at room temperature, but start to turn solid when chilled), which make its texture creamy and smooth.
Most supplements are made from avocado and soya beans, and the oil is primarily used to suppress and finally treat athritis in people who suffer from the disease. Arthritis is a disease that is characterised by progressive deterioration of the joint cartilage, and it can also be progressively treated.
Several studies have revealed that supplements used for treating arthritis had actually reduced the symptoms of arthritis in the knee and hip area. Avocado has a very high nutrition profile, because it contains lots of fiber, vitamins and minerals like Vitamins K, E, C, and B, potassium and copper.
The consumption of avocado has been linked with reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.
Avocado consists of 73 percent water, 15 percent fat, 8.5 percent carbohydrates and 2 percent protein. Half of an avocado contains about 109 calories, which is equal to 160 calories per 100 grams.
It also contain small amounts of sugar in comparison to other fruits, half of avocado contains 0.5 grams of sugar in three main forms: fructose, glucose and galactose. Due to its low sugar content, avocado has a very low glycemic index score (meaning that it should not raise blood sugar levels to a great extent).
Fiber is the most present carbohydrate content in avocado with about 79 percent. It is also capable of regulating appetite, feeding the friendly bacteria in the gut and reducing the risk of many diseases. One of the most abundant fatty acids is oleic acid and it is also the main component of olive oil. Oleic acid has been associated with reducing inflammation and also has a beneficial effect on cancer.
