Ayetoro monarch lauds Amosun over appointment of new CoS

The Alaye of Ayetoro in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Oba Abdul –Azeez Adelakun, has commended Governor Ibikunle Amosun for the appointment of Chief Tolu Odebiyi as his new chief of staff.
Oba Adelakun spoke in his palace in Ayetoro during the installation of Chief Ramoni Adeyemi as the Baale of Saala Orile in Yewa North Local Government Area.
The monarch said that Governor Amosun surprised the people of the area with the appointment of Odebiyi, who is an indigene of Yewa, inspite of the erroneous belief that nobody from the area could ever rise to attain such a position in the state.
The Alaye said, “It came to us as a surprise when we heard that our son was appointed chief of staff to the governor, especially in the person of Chief Tolu Odebiyi, who is from the Yewa zone. We really thank the governor and appreciate him for this kind privilege being given to us. We’ll continue to support him in his mission to rebuild the state.”
Oba Adelakun also commended the governor for resolving the communal clashes that had engulfed the area and had hindered the development of the town for more than two decades.
He expressed delight that the people of the town were now living in peace and harmony.
The monarch further said that the construction of the Ayetoro township road network was an attestation to the commitment of the governor to the development of the Yewa zone, stressing that the project had eased the movement of farm produce by farmers to the urban areas of the state.
In his speech, the new Baale of Saala Orile, Chief Ramoni Adeyemi, praised the state government for the opportunity given him to serve his people.
Adeyemi pledged to carry out his statutory responsibilities without fear or favour.
‘’I’m promising the people of my town to carry them along in discharging my duties with the best of knowledge and without any prejudice to anyone. I will not jeopardise the confidence reposed in me’’, he said.
