The wife of Ebonyi State Governor, Mary Nwifuru has bagged the award of Most Supportive Governor’s wife in Nigeria.
The meritorious award was presented to her in Abakaliki at a ceremony to mark Abakaliki Bankers Committee Dinner and Award Night in the state with the theme: “Digital Trust in Banking: the Foundation of a secure and resilient Financial System.”
“It is commendable of the banking sector in the state for its innovative approaches and commitment to serving the people, contribution to financial inclusion, economic empowerment, and the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises.
“Being honoured with the “Most Supportive Governor’s Wife in Nigeria” award, I am motivated to be even more supportive of my darling husband as he commits to the discharge of his duties to Ebonyi State.
“I thank the Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Daniel Ogbuogu, branch controller Ebonyi, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and his committee for organising such a beautiful dinner night and urge them to continue with the zeal.
“While we celebrate today, we must also look forward to the future. As technology continues to reshape the way we interact with financial services, we must embrace these changes, ensuring that our institutions are equipped to meet the needs of an ever-evolving society. The future is digital, and our banking institutions must remain at the forefront of innovation and service delivery to ensure that no one is left behind.
