Borno lawmaker commends peaceful conduct of CVR by INEC

Amember of the Borno State House of Assembly representing Hawul Local Government Area, Hon. Ayuba Wakawa, has expressed satisfaction with the large turn-out of eligible voters in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission across the wards in the state.

Wakawa said that the massive turn-out and cooperation displayed by the people indicated that the senstitization and enlightenment carried out before and during the exercise had yielded a positive result, as majority of the people would not be disenfranchised in the 2019 general elections.

The lawmaker stated this in Azare, the headquarters of Hawul Local Government, during his sensitization visit and inspection of the ongoing construction of multi- million naira mega school and general hospital as part of constituency projects undertaken by the state government.

Addressing the people of his constituency, Wakawa commended them for their peaceful conduct and urged them to take the opportunity to ensure that they all registered and obtained their Permanent Voter’s Card, which he described as the only tool that would constitutionally empower them to elect their representatives for political offices and development.
